About service
Tooth extraction is an oral surgery procedure that quickly and painlessly removes intended teeth.
Although the thought of tooth extraction brings anxiety and unpleasant associations for many patients, there is really no need to be afraid. Today, it is a safe, easy, standard procedure, but it is very important that it is carried out by an experienced doctor. This is the only way to avoid the risk of complications and facilitate the healing process.
The most common reasons for tooth extraction are:
- When teeth are irreversibly damaged by decay, periodontitis or other diseases.
- When a tooth is thinned (not fully erupted).
- If the mental teeth are often decayed or affected by inflammatory processes.
- In case of suppurative processes at the root of the tooth.
- In case of complex and deep trauma to the crown of the tooth.
- In case of an irregular tooth position.
- When planning orthodontic treatment.
The process of tooth extraction
- The condition of the tooth is assessed, an X-ray is taken and a treatment plan is drawn up.
- The patient is given local anaesthesia or a stronger anaesthetic. This means that you will not feel anything while the tooth is being removed.
- Once the medication has taken effect, the dental surgeons remove the tissue around the tooth, use special instruments to move the tooth and remove it
- Finally, the gums are stitched. That's it - the whole procedure usually takes only 20 minutes!
- After the procedure, you may feel a little sore for a few days and experience some bleeding. This is normal and the unpleasant sensations will soon disappear!
